I'll quickly catch you up to speed: Lies Of P is a Pinocchio-themed Soulsborne. If you haven't heard of it already, I'll say that it took the internet by storm after Gamescom Opening Night Live. I came to know about this game some time ago. Some Twitter users shared the news of this game is in development. I being curious, searched its name on youtube to see the trailer and I am glad that I did.
Lies of P look just like bloodborne. If Bloodborne were retold in a steampunk setting using its Soulslike structure, it would look just like Pinocchio, but with creepier graphics.
It seems that Pinocchio's mechanical arm and its gadgets played a large role in the teaser. Fans of Sekiro may recognize that this includes a grappling hook and flamethrower, which can pull enemies closer. Wolf, the protagonist, also has similar gadgets on his prosthetic hand.
Players will control Pinocchio to find Mr Geppetto over on Lies Of P's Steam page. There's a lot of madness and bloodlust in Krat, so Pinocchio has to walk through it.
"To become human, you must always lie to others," says Lies of P, which seems to fit with the game's deeper themes. As you lie and, ultimately, how you progress through interconnected procedural quests, your ending will change. Additionally, Pinocchio's mechanoid body can be modified for additional skills and advantages in combat by combining weapons and changing parts.
A PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 4 version of Lies Of P are anticipated to launch around 2023, developed by Round8 Studio.
